SUZIE ZACHAR
Attorney
Suzie Zachar is a litigation attorney at Friedl Richardson handling catastrophic injuries and supporting the rights of victims of personal injury in the State of Arizona. Suzie has been practicing in Arizona since 1996. She spent the first 22 years of her career representing insureds, insurance companies and Fortune 500 businesses, which has given her a unique and advantageous perspective. Most plaintiff attorneys begin and end careers representing only victims, so her practice history provides a background to know and understand how the adversary evaluates, thinks and operates. Suzie has handled more than 200 arbitrations and trials, as well as, over 500 depositions.
Suzie has also obtained favorable awards and settlements for her clients in cases involving premises liability, product liability, security and negligent hiring, serious injury motor vehicle accidents and nursing home malpractice. In 2024, Suzie secured $2,500,000.00 and $2,400,000.00 settlements in two separate cases for her clients who were severely injured due to the negligence of others. She regularly handles seven-figure cases but enjoys handling all matters for clients who deserve justice for an injury or the loss of a loved one. Her attention to detail and competency to understand the complexity of liability hurdles, severe injuries, lifetime disabilities, and what it takes to win a case, are the keys to success for all clients.
In the past decade, Suzie has been asked to serve as a Mediator by trusted colleagues in order to effectuate settlements for other cases handled by other attorneys. Her diplomatic skills and ability to understand both sides of the case, are appreciated and demonstrated by a good track record for achieving settlements during mediations. Given her background, she is widely agreed upon by both sides of a case to handle the case with a calm presence, the skill necessary to understand both sides of the issues, and the efficiency to do so in a 4 – 6-hour meeting, reducing costs and fees as well as avoiding the risks of attending a trial which could take years to reach a conclusion.
In her spare time, Suzie enjoys gardening, tennis, traveling, and spending time with her family.
